About nghty

nghty was born on a night at Berlin's KitKatClub. I walked in wearing barely more than lingerie, and I had never felt that free in my own body. That feeling - the way a Berlin night makes you feel - is the whole reason this brand exists.

Before that, I'd spent years in strategy consulting and venture capital (what most people would call a successful path). But something was missing. The kind of freedom and self-expression I wanted wasn't going to come from a boardroom. I found it in Berlin instead. In its nightlife, its festivals, the way the city refuses to play by anyone else's rules.

In those spaces I saw what happens when women stop performing for anyone else. They become magnetic. And I kept thinking that feeling shouldn't only belong to one night out, or to a single room in the city. You should be able to reach for it any day you want.

When I went looking for lingerie that matched that energy, I couldn't find it. Everything was soft and romantic, made to look pretty for someone else. Or it was costume-like and impractical, the kind of thing saved for one night a year. Nothing was built for the woman I was in those moments, or for every moment after.
